The 2011 LAQN seminar took place on 1st July 2011 at King’s. Sessions focused on PM10 sources and toxicity and on NO2 concentrations and health effects. This year we were pleased to be able to welcome three speakers from overseas who placed UK air pollution in a broader European context. Sessions were chaired by Simon Cousins from the GLA and Tim Williamson from defra. In addition to the programme of speakers the Health Protection Agency ran a workshop on mortality effects of PM2.5 at the local level.
The full agenda can be found by following the link below. The seminar was free to our funding organisations, project partners, researchers and collaborators. Representatives of other organisations were welcome to attend at a charge of £85 +VAT per person.
