The recently updated LondonAir has won first place in
Air Quality Bulletin’s
annual website review. Each year the magazine reviews over 500 websites and LondonAir was awarded
first place in the non-council (’other’) websites, which covers all air quality companies, council
consortia, pressure groups and central government.
Air quality manager Gary Fuller said, "First place in an independent industry award is a great
achievement, and is a testament to the improvements we have made to LondonAir. The feedback from our
focus group events told us that public engagement was as important as data and tools. In response we
have re-written our guide to answer the real questions people have about air quality and health.
This, combined with a more engaging home page, guide videos, and specific pages for smart phones, has
greatly improved access to useful information for anyone concerned about air quality in London and
the south east. Once again we would like to thank the local authorities in and around London, TfL
and Defra that contribute measurements to LondonAir."
We would welcome suggestions for further improvement to the LondonAir web site. Are there sections
of the web site that you would like to see extended or new topics areas or data analysis tools
that we can include? For details of how to contact us click below.
