"High" Pollution Incident Notification from King's College London

"High" ozone was measured in Sussex and Bedfordshire yesterday, 25th July 2006. Widespread "moderate" ozone was measured across London and south east England.

"High" ozone was measured yesterday at the Brighton & Hove 3 site in Sussex (90 ppb / 180 ugm-3) and at Mid Bedfordshire 2 (91 ppb / 182 ugm-3). Ozone concentrations across Sussex approached "high" with concentrations of over 80 ppb / 160 ugm-3 being measured at rural sites in East and West Sussex and at the Reigate & Banstead 3 site near Gatwick. Concentrations also approached "high" at several sites in suburban London including Croydon 3, Haringey 2, Enfield 3 and Kingston 1. Ozone also approached "high" at the Sevenoaks 2 site in Kent.
